What is the most valuable part of the eScience Program?
ease of experiments and video teachings
Video experiments & reading material–love it online
That I can use the lessons whenever I need to
It’s fun. The kids enjoy it.
That what my children see on the screen and the experiments they do really sticks with them.
Having the lessons already planned and put together
how easy it is to follow for the kids, how little of my time it takes
The child’s interest.
video presentations and easy to obtain supplies
that it shows what products to use and how to use them
The experiments that contain items we usually have
most of the “planning” is done for me; we just have to stay ahead of supplies, then plug in and go when it’s science time
I do like to be able to access the lessons as I need to
integration of written, hands-on, and visual interaction/integration of content
The organization of the lesson, experiments and exercises, but also the videos are very helpful.
the experiments on video and other video lessons
The access we have to our own science teacher at the touch of a button.
Aurora’s enthusiasm
Access to science experiments for the home schooler.
I haven’t used it yet
Intrigued by the program but having a hard time getting started
This is the kind of science I like..Not just science from a textbook..
haven’t tried them yet
it’s available anytime, the videos are clear and nice
projects are easy and relatively inexpensive
It’s ready to go.
It’s already put together to use
Kids work independently of me 🙂
The hands-on nature that makes my kinesthetic learner excited about Science! (You’d think it was recess!)
The Experiments
great experiments
have not used the lessons, but the math tips are awesome
the wealth of info. that you are willing to share
the videos
Access to information I would not be able to teach my children.
all planning done and multisensory lessons
showing us “how to experiments” visually
the videos
I thought being able to choose which module to do was the best thing.
video demonstrations
accessibility and ease of use
AFFORDABLE! not just the program, but the experiments too. and the easy to follow video tutorials.
tailored to homeschooling families
Lots of wonderful information.
I haven’t done any of the project yet, but I there’s value in having it accessible on the computer.
the experiments
super charged science newsletter/teleconference offer
online format–flexible lessons–helpful videos
Haven’t started it yet so I don’t know.
It’s right here in my home, with accurate information, easy science experiments and my son gets excited about it.
structure
The fun way you present science at a level that all my kids understand.
The video instruction
intro DVD
instant videos with detailed instructions
the video clips that are educational in a fun approach
It’s easy & fun – video, shopping list, and text!
videos – we loved to pause and re-watch as many times as needed
Science is fun and the activities reinforce that
Both my 14 and 18 year old boys loved the paper airplanes in the intro DVD. I can’t get them to stop throwing them around the house all week. We will definitely be using your program more as we have more time!
What do you like BEST about the eScience Program?
The video teaching
We like the experiments.
I love the videos, and lists of supplies needed. My kids love what we have been able to do so far. We watched the math videos about multiplying 11’s and love them, they caught on very quickly.
your clear explanations and that my kids are so so excited when i tell them it’s science time!! Oh, and the convenient shopping lists!
The materials are all prepared and my kids enjoy learning via video and think the experiments are really cool. I really love your enthusiasm for the subject matter.
Looks very good. We signed up at a time where I was already overwhelmed by homeschooling. My son is quite interested but he won’t sit to work on his own, so I have to take the time to be with him. What I saw of the program seems great.
I like your video presentations. I also like that there are so many experiments that we can pick and choose the ones we want to do.
I think that the kids are interested
We enjoyed your camp and I’m excited to find out about your online program, but my schedule is busy through December.
thorough explanation of concepts and kid-friendly experiments to illustrate the concepts
its easy to understand
It’s centralized, systematic, engaging, multi-age appropriate, real and fun.
What I have seen, it looks great.
hands-on + visual + reading material is wonderful. Also, I love the kid-friendly approach.
The child-friendly language and easy to understand framing of the science. We also enjoy the experiments. The texts are good as well.
The ease of use and the lessons/experiments.
We all love having such great information at our fingertips. We all enjoy the videos, my son enjoyed the astrophysics teleclass and is looking forward to participating in more of those. We all look forward to a webclass. We haven’t spent a lot of time, yet, online with supercharged science, however, the time we have spent has been quite educational.
Mostly household items to use.
Interesting topics for our family.
Your energy and passion paired with your knowledge are intriguing
Hands on projects to create and build..What my boys love and even my husband that is an Aerospace Engineer..
Don’t know yet but if it’s like your DVD’s the boys LOVE THEM
easy, concise, not boring
The enthusiasm, experiments, the easy to follow directions
Love the way the experiments are presented, with clear directions, and by someone who seems to enjoy it as much as the students do. Aurora conveys a sense of wonder and excitement about the program and presentations that is extremely contagious!
Tons of ideas for all different areas
it’s “at” my house
I am new to the program.
We have listened to two telephone lessons. REALLY appreciate some of the free lessons, and the time, Aurora, you put into all of this.
My kids (and I!) are visual learners — we like the videos. And I like the orderly progression of topics; makes it easy for me to stay organized/on top of things from the background.
The great information about each subject, links to watch videos, and the experiments. (we have just started, and are still trying to figure out how to go through the whole program). I love seeing Aurora actually explane things, where my kids can watch her, and feel we are being guided through this subject with someone who can give us great lessons.
real science concepts that we can experiment with at home
easy projects and shopping lists
online
its pretty user friendly and you make it very interesting. we enjoy listening to you, not dull or boring
i am science illiterate, even programs I’ve looked at r hard to follow. but escience takes what I’ve always seen as complex experiments and makes them so simple AND affordable. who knew i could teach my daughter to make her own rubber ball?? or a simple bar of ivory soap would teach how a microwave works and how air reacts when pushed thru water? you also have a variety, simple experiments like the ones I’ve mentioned that r right on the level for my special ed daughter to understand and enjoy; and u also have more complex for the more advanced, like the hovercraft. the video tutorials r exactly what i needed to know how to do stuff. before i would follow written directions, but sometimes the experiment wouldn’t end up like it was sposed to. i also like that my daughter w/all her learning challenges, can do the most complex experiment and make it wk, b/c aurora shows her how. makes her ‘feel’ smart.
We haven’t had a chance to go completely through a unit yet, but we like the exciting experiments, and how it’s set up: experiment first, the why later.
I haven’t tried it yet.
I like the videos that correspond to the experiments.
The videos help him step by step through it, so I don’t have to interpret directions FOR him. Also, the experiment topics seem to really interest him. I especially love the ONLINE factor, so we can join for a season as long as we’d like, and highlight some great science for a time, without having to pay for a full year’s worth of curriculum. (We never would- we can’t afford it). This makes it possible for me to put SOME great science, as much as I can afford for a given season, in my kids’ hands.
I love the user-friendly, hands-on approach to science. The theory is there, but in a meaningful format (i.e. in conjunction with seeing it happen!). I love the freedom to use the lessons in whatever order suits us best, and to use as much or as little as we like, whenever we like, as many times as we like. I also like the real person help that is available to those of us who are a bit science-impaired.
I love the idea of it. Its just the time factor.
The kids can watch and get motivated to do science. They look around for the supplies that are needed and go for it!
experiments with shopping lists. structured program, with exercises at end to reinforce what was learned.
I like the great way you explain the science behind what we are doing. My kids love the hands-on stuff.
Really like it is month by month. With limited resources this is a big plus. We really like the video presentations.
Your visuals, showing them how to do it; the clarity and conciseness of your directions.
exciting experiments (my oldest children are only 9, 7 and 6)
hmmm.we are recent members…the vast choices of things to engage in….no room to get bored…it has livened up our science curriculum for sure!
The videos that show us how to do the experiment and what the results should be AND the shopping lists. A very close second is the textbook info.
Making things from the videos.
The kids can go to the activity that they like and work at thier own pace
